Sennheiser to sponsor new O2 music exhibition in 2009

Sennheiser has been confirmed as a major sponsor for the forthcoming British Music Experience, a permanent, high-tech, interactive music exhibition, opening at The O2 in March 2009.

The exhibition is set to cover 2,500 square metres in The O2 Bubble, the O2’s cutting edge exhibition space. Visitors will be able to learn about different musical trends, and music’s effect on fashion and politics. The exhibition will also allow visitors to create their own music and download tracks.

Sennheiser’s involvement goes beyond financial backing. As a permanent exhibition, the creators of The British Music Experience needed quality audio equipment, so 225 critically acclaimed closed-back HD 215 Sennheiser headphones have been used throughout the exhibition.

Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a professional recording environment at first hand, singing through a Sennheiser evolution e 935 microphone in the Sennheiser Vocal Booth.

The Sennheiser logo will appear on all of the British Music Experience’s promotional material and visitors will be able to compare and test Sennheiser headphones before purchasing in The British Music Experience’s music store.

“The entire team at Sennheiser is delighted to be associated with The British Music Experience,” says Sennheiser UK General Manager, Phil Massey. “This promises to be a Mecca for music fans around the
world, and as a company dedicated to producing the best sound possible, it made perfect sense for us to get involved. ”
